Where is Manitoulin Island?
The Spirit's Den is located 300 kilometers or 184 miles northwest of Toronto, Canada. It is northeast of Detroit, U.S., about 461 kilometers or 287 miles.

Can we reserve a cottage online?
Reservations must be made by telephone or email.

Can I bring pets or smoke in the cottages?
Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed in the cottages.

Is there a telephone in the cottage?
There are no telephones. We strongly suggest bringing a cellular phone, although at times, it may be difficult to get a signal. The pay phone at the Bay Street Marina can be used for urgent calls (a two-minute drive).

Are deposits refundable?
Deposits are non-refundable.

Can I dock my boat?
Docking is available in close proximity to the Spirit's Den at the Bay Street Marina.

Can you fish on Manitoulin Island?
Yes, but you must buy an Ontario fishing license. Check our Local Services page for fishing license requirements.
